​Why should I get health insurance?

We don’t know when illnesses or injuries can strike us. That is why health insurance is essential for you to be financially protected from future costly medical bills in case these happen.

If I have pre-existing medical condition, can I still get insurance?

Of course, but we have underwriting guidelines that we follow as we accept your application. The younger you are when getting health insurance, the better. If you want to know more about this, our agents are willing to help you get through our terms and conditions for your particular case.

How can I buy health insurance?

Most people get health coverage through group insurance. You can get this type of insurance from your employers in the form of benefits. Its coverage may extend to your family, depending on the policy your company has.

If your firm doesn’t offer health benefits or if you are self-employed, you can purchase individual health insurance from us. Or you can also buy family health insurance that covers members of your family.

You can also increase your coverage if you already have an existing health insurance policy. Inform our agents of your plans so they can adjust your coverage.

How does group health insurance work?

While your employers can offer you extensive health insurance coverage with their group insurance, there are some things that you should know:
  • Unlike individual policies, group insurance isn’t tailored according to your needs.
  • Group insurance may not cover some of your family members. So better ask your employer about the coverage.
  • It is not available when you are in-between jobs.
  • Most startup companies do not offer group health insurance.
  • Depending on the amount of coverage your employer bought, they may have set a specific sum of coverage that protects all employees together. Thus, if one employee files a claim for an injury, the rest of the employees may be left with less coverage.

How to make a health insurance claim?

There are two ways to claim your health insurance coverage:
  • Cashless Claim: This happens when you seek health care services from the hospitals, organizations, or providers listed among your insurance carrier’s networks. All you have to after receiving treatment is (1) sign pertinent documents and (2) let us know so your carrier can pay them on your behalf.
  • Reimbursement Claim: You can opt for cash reimbursements of your medical expenses. Share your hospitalization bills with your carrier after treatment and they’ll reimburse you based on your coverage.
