When To See A Doctor If You Have A Fever

​If you have a fever, you may or may not need to see a doctor. Take Tylenol if you're having minor aches and pains and your body temperature is above 99.5 F. But, if your body heat doesn't go down below this temperature, you might need to see a doctor. The other reasons why you may need to see a doctor if you have a fever are:

1. An Infant Body Temperature of Over 100.3 F 
   An infant below three months old with a temperature of more than 100.3 F needs immediate medical care. An infant is very young. Because of this, an infant's body is fragile. If a baby becomes seriously sick, they are at a higher risk of dying. Be a responsible parent and adult. Don't overlook a baby having a high fever by shrugging it off. 
   
   
2. Vomiting that Takes Place Over Twelve Hours 
   You may be ill with a fever if you vomit for more than twelve hours. If you don't get immediate medical care, it may affect your stomach's health. This situation may cause you to get an ulcer or diarrhea if you vomit. If you feel unwell due to continuous vomiting, get immediate medical help from a hospital's ER. 
   
   
3. Diarrhea That is Accompanied by Blood 
   Again, diarrhea with blood may be an indication you are seriously ill with a fever. On the other hand, this condition may be an indication that you may have hemorrhoids. Now, having a bloody poop may also be a symptom of having a stomach problem. If your diarrhea doesn't dissipate after 48 hours, get immediate medical help. 
   
   
4. A Mild Fever That Comes and Goes 
   If a fever is mild, but it comes and goes along, you may be seriously ill. It's all the more true if the said fever exists with other symptoms such as a sore throat and exhaustion. In combination with having a fever, these can be symptoms of coronavirus disease. 
   
   
5. An Earache 
   If you have an earache while having a fever, you may eventually get a headache as well. Don't take things for granted. Having an earache that causes you to have a headache may make your body temperature go up. See a doctor as soon as possible if you experience having a fever with an earache.
